Introduction to Membership Sites – Episode #1

Now I want to clarify a few things about this podcast. Even though I call it DAPCast, this podcast is not just about building membership sites using DAP. So it's not just for DAP users. Of course, I I'll share stuff about DAP and how a certain strategy can be implemented using DAP, but a lot of information that I'll share here, you can apply it to whatever membership platform you use.

Also, this will not be an interview style podcast. It'll be primarily be me sharing my membership site knowledge and expertise. Yes, I'll bring in guests from time to time, primarily DAP users, to talk about how they use dap to manage their membership sites. And where possible, in the show-notes, I'll also include behind-the-scenes video from dap users (or from me) to show you how you can implement the concepts that I talk about in the podcast.

This podcast is going to be packed with content. I'm committed to helping you build a sustainable & profitable business from your membership site. Here's the deal... I'm very detail oriented and I like breaking things down in bite-sized pieces so they are easy to consume. My goal with this podcast is to take you from point A to point B faster, and to show you simple and easy ways to get there, in a step-by-step fashion.

As this is the very first episode of DAP Cast, I'm going to introduce you to membership sites and some of the basic concepts.  

One of the biggest membership site myths is that you only need a membership site to sell recurring products or services. And that's not true at all. You can use your membership site as a lead magnet, where people give you their name and email in order to become a member and access your protected content.
